Google Pixels will soon be able to create their own wallpaper using artificial intelligence

We have known for a few days that Google is currently preparing several artificial intelligence-based features for its Pixels. One of them is nothing short of amazing, as it will allow you to create your own unique wallpaper using simple descriptive text, the Dalle-E way. In any case, this is what the indicators point towards.

While Google Pixels are certainly not without their flaws, they have one quality that few will dare to deny: smartphones take full advantage of artificial intelligence to improve the user experience. Furthermore, at a time when ChatGPT has been unleashing passions for several weeks, we expected the Mountain View company to pull its counterattack shortly.

A first announcement took place a few days ago in the New York Times, which revealed that a conference focused on AI is underway in Google’s offices. As usual, the manufacturer intends to give priority to its Pixels, as suggested by one of the features presented by the American newspaper. The latter will allow the user a completely unique background, using a simple text description.

If this reminds you of something, it is normal: it is more or less the functioning of now renowned artificial intelligences such as Dall-E or Midjourney – which have also caused them some legal perplexity. It is therefore on this same principle that this famous creator of wallpapers with Google sauce should be based. At least this seems the most to be expected based on the current state of technology.

However, for now, it’s still hard to say for sure. In fact, it could be that the functionality is based instead on a database fed by users, which it will draw on to satisfy their request. We’ll have to wait for the next Google I/O conference to find out for sure.
