NBA Paris Game 2023: the list of 17 sponsors of the match at the Accor Arena and the expected marketing activations

For the second official NBA game on French soil tonight, the National Basketball Association filled in on the specific partner side of the Bulls-Pistons poster.

In total, the NBA Paris Game 2023 claims a total of 17 sponsors, a record for an NBA game played in Europe.

In addition to Nike which is the “Presenting Sponsor”, we find American Express, Dapper Labs, Deezer, Foot Locker, Gatorade, Hotels.com, Intesa Sanpaolo, Niantic, ParionsSport, SAP, Sony Playstation, Sorare, Tissot, 2K, Yop or more Hennessy (Cognac brand cannot be promoted as a partner in France due to Loi Evin).

NBA Paris Game 2023 Sponsor Activations

Nike

As the main partner of the NBA Paris Game 2023, Nike benefits from visibility in the name of the event and will be clearly visible in the room and on the floor. Various entertainments should be offered during the game.

American Express

American Express has offered 24-hour private ticket sales to its loyal members and will provide priority access to NBA House and Accor Arena. A few days ago, AmericanExpress also hosted a private dinner for some of its members with three-time NBA champion BJ Armstrong.

Dezer

Deezer will offer fans a giant karaoke during a game timeout, as explained by Maria Garrido, Chief Marketing Officer of Deezer, in an interview to read here. Deezer will also have a DJ booth and give fans the chance to win special prizes with their Wheel of Fortune at NBA House.

Foot Locker

Foot Locker will line up four stores at Accor Arena featuring official NBA merchandise, also available at NBA House. On game night, VIP guests will enter the venue through a black and white striped Foot Locker corridor. Prior to the game, Foot Locker will also welcome the Pistons’ mascot, “Hooper,” to its flagship store on the Champs-Élysées.

Gatorade

Gatorade will host the Gatorade Skills Challenge again during the 2023 NBA Paris Game, with the finalists in a pre-qualifying event for local community players. The winner will receive an autographed NBA jersey. At NBA House, Gatorade will host an activation booth “Shoot Like an All-Star” and “Closer Than Courtside” for fans of all ages.

Hotels.com held a raffle in Canada, the US and the UK for members of its loyalty program to enter the raffle to win travel and tickets to the 2023 NBA Paris Game. Hotels.com has partnered with player Pistons, Killian Hayesgrew up in France, to share her top tips about Paris and her favorite hotels.

Bet Sports

ParionsSport, the sports betting platform of La Française des Jeux (FDJ), will present the midfielder’s shot at half-time with a check for 100,000 euros up for grabs for the lucky winner. For the occasion, Tony Parker will accompany the participant, as explained by Karl Lorenzon, Head of brand, communication and sponsorship ParionsSport, in a dedicated interview. A ParionsSport shooting competition on basketball hoops of different sizes will be organized in the lobby of the Acor Arena and at the NBA House.

SAP

SAP is the main partner of the NBA Technology Forum, which takes place at the Parc des Princes on 19 January. During this (invite-only) event, NBA, SAP and guest speakers will discuss data, technology and innovation topics for approximately 300 sports and entertainment executives.

Sony playstations

In addition to the NBA House PlayStation5 console, fans will be able to play NBA 2K23 on the consoles located in the lobby.

So rare

Sorare will host a cocktail party with the NBPA (players union) for NBA and NBPA players, partners, executives, including Pistons fullback and French team player Killian Hayes. CEO Nicolas Julia will host NBA Commissioner Adam Silver and NBPA General Manager Tamika Tremaglio at the Sorare offices during game week. Sorare will sponsor an in-game activation with prizes up for grabs on the platform and will be the main partner of the NBA Paris Game 2023 post-game partyby invitation only, at the Accor Arena.

Tissot

As the official timekeeper of the NBA, Tissot offers fans the opportunity to win game tickets and special prizes through in-store promotions. Tissot will also host a summit meeting during match week that will bring together some of its biggest European clients, ambassadors and celebrity guests at the Accor Arena live bar.

2K

Fans can play the recently released NBA 2K23 video game on a PlayStation5 console in the play corner of NBA House. NBA 2K23 will feature NBA Paris Game branding in-game for a limited time before and after game week, with Paris Game-themed in-game challenges and social promotion planned to celebrate the NBA’s return to the city.

Yop will offer fans the opportunity to participate in a shooting competition at its booth, both in the lobby of the Accor Arena and at the NBA House. Each participant will receive a mini-bottle of Yop. Yop will also host a basketball camp for local youth at NBA House, featuring lessons from an NBA legend.
